JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental or medical office environments, with experience in managing front desk operations. This role is crucial for ensuring a smooth patient experience from the moment they arrive until their departure. The Dental Receptionist will be responsible for handling patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate electronic medical records.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar role within a dental or medical office setting is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using Dentrix and familiarity with Epic software is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
  • Experience with electronic medical records management is essential.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and staff.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Previous experience with front desk operations and administrative duties is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out process efficiently.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments using Dentrix software.
  • Handle multi-line phone systems to answer calls, address inquiries, and direct calls appropriately.
  • Maintain patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date in the electronic medical records system.
  • Assist with insurance verification and processing as needed.
  • Provide information regarding dental services and procedures to patients.
  • Collaborate with dental staff to ensure a seamless flow of operations within the office.
  • Manage administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
