JOB OVERVIEW

We are a thriving Invisalign-focused dental practice of 13 years, now expanding to offer comprehensive general dentistry at our two Toronto locations. We’re looking for a full-time Dental Receptionist / Treatment Coordinator who is eager to be part of this exciting new chapter. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks within a dental office environment. This role requires proficiency in dental terminology, strong communication skills, and at least 3 years experience in the Dental industry. A background in dental office management is preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • at least 3 years of previous experience as a Dental Receptionist/Treatment Coordinator
  • Familiarity with billing, EDI claims, and insurance verification processes is essential.
  • Proficient in Dental Software- AkituOne experience is a bonus
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications and typing proficiency
  • Strong understanding of insurance and the ability to clearly explain it to patients.
  • Confidence in discussing treatment and finances with patients.
  • Reliability, organization, and a positive, team-focused attitude.
  • Flexibility to work at two locations (downtown Toronto & midtown Toronto).
  • Availability on Saturdays.

    Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week

Responsibilities
  • Verify patient insurance coverage, send claims, and predeterminations
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Support the dental team with care plans and patient service initiatives.
  • Greet and support patients, ensuring an exceptional experience at both offices.
  • Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered.
  • Manage scheduling, treatment plans, and patient communication.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the dental calendar to optimize patient flow
  • Present treatment options with confidence, including financial discussions.
  • Navigate insurance confidently (assignment, non-assignment, primary, secondary, claim submission).
  • Support Invisalign consultations and general dentistry case presentations.
  • Use AkituOne software to maintain accurate charts, billing, and scheduling.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to support smooth daily operations.
