JOB OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking a friendly and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice! This candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing friendly customer service while efficiently managing the front desk operations. This role requires proficiency in handling electronic medical records, scheduling appointments, and maintaining a welcoming environment for patients.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar administrative role
  • Proficiency in using office software, such as Tracker, Google Suite applications (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology related to dental practices is essential, along with familiarity with phone systems and office equipment.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Must be fluent in English and Mandarin, Cantonese is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients warmly as they arrive and assist them with check-in procedures.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments using Tracker.
  • Manage patients’ insurance coverage, including predeterminations, payments, claims, etc.
  • Coordinate patients’ treatment plans between patients and dental professionals.
  • Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries in a timely manner
  • Manage phone systems with to answer calls, respond to inquiries and handle patient concerns effectively.
  • Accurately maintaining electronic medical records and ensuring that patient information is up-to-date
  • Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth office operations and patient flow.
  • Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and inventory management.
  • Stay informed about medical terminology to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
