Responsibilities

Duties will include :-

  • Operate the practice software (Dentally)
  • Answering the telephone and deal with patient enquiries in an efficient, positive and friendly manner
  • Receive patients and visitors in a prompt, friendly professional manner
  • Notify Clinicians of the patient’s arrival
  • Schedule patient appointments in accordance with practice policies and keep records of all appointments.
  • Operate the practice recall system
  • Prepare day sheets for each Clinician
  • Collect and record patient payments and pursue any debts in accordance with the practice payments policy
  • Liaise with dental laboratories, suppliers and organisations and record laboratory work in and out of the practice
  • Deal with patient feedback in an appropriate manner and feed back to the practice manager about patient comments and complaints
  • Support the sales of dental sundries to patients and ensure patients are provided the patients advice on the appropriate sundries for the their dental health to successful sale
  • Manage the appointment book effectively to ensure targets are met
  • Keep the reception are clean, tidy and welcoming
  • Engage conversation with patients to ensure they feel at ease
  • Attend regular weekly reception meetings
  • Follow all policies in line with CQC requirements
  • Act confidentially
  • Speak up if things go wrong
  • Ensure the environment is safe
