JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a friendly, independent and organized Dental Receptionist to join our awesome dental practice. Our practice is small and intimate with a great team! The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and experience in a dental office environment. Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply, especially those with experience in pediatrics or orthodontics.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a dental office or healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
  • Experience with Dentrix or similar dental management software is a plus.
  • Bilingual abilities are highly desirable, particularly in Spanish or other languages commonly spoken in the community.
  • Knowledge of pediatric dentistry or orthodontics is an advantage but not required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary for managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients warmly as they arrive at the office and assist them with check-in procedures.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments using Dentrix software, ensuring optimal patient flow.
  • Manage patient records, including updating information and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries and providing information about services offered.
  • Process patient payments and handle insurance claims efficiently.
  • Assist dental staff with administrative tasks as needed, including coordinating patient referrals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area to create a welcoming environment for patients.
  • Provide support in managing inventory for dental supplies and materials.
