Our Children’s Clinic is seeking a Sterile Technician to join our friendly and fast-paced team. Key Responsibilities Instrument Sterilization & Processing Collect, clean, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following OSHA, CDC, and state guidelines. Operate sterilization equipment (autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, etc.). Package instruments for sterilization using proper wrapping, cassettes, or pouches. Monitor sterilization cycles, biological indicators, and spore testing logs. Perform routine maintenance and calibration of sterilization equipment. Infection Control Clean and disinfect operatories between patients. Set up and break down dental trays according to procedures. Maintain a sterile, safe, and compliant clinical environment. Handle and dispose of biohazardous waste and sharps per protocol. Inventory & Supplies Monitor and restock sterilization and infection control supplies. Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with supply ordering. Organize sterile storage areas for efficiency and cleanliness. Clinical Support Ensure timely availability of clean instruments for clinical staff. Prepare setups based on daily procedures and patient schedule. Communicate with the team about any delays or equipment issues. Compliance & Safety Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control standards. Stay current with required training and safety procedures.
