JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Dental Technician CAD Designer will be responsible for creating precise and high-quality digital dental restorations, including crowns, bridges, dentures, and implants, using advanced CAD software. The ideal candidate is an experienced Dental Technician with specialised skills in digital dental technology. The candidate is to have excellent attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with dental prosthetists, technicians and dentists to achieve the best patient outcomes.

  • Able to use CAD/CAM 3Shape and Exocad to design a wide range of dental prosthetics, including crowns, bridges, veneers and implants
  • Interpret dental impressions and scans to create precise digital models.
  • Collaborate with dental technicians and clinicians to ensure design accuracy, functionality, and aesthetics to meet patient-specific requirements.
  • Optimise design workflows and processes to enhance efficiency and productivity in the digital dental laboratory.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to brainstorm ideas, troubleshoot technical challenges, and contribute to innovation initiatives.
  • Reading Prescriptions: reviewing lab instructions provided by dentists to understand the specific requirements for each case, including the type of restoration needed, materials to be used, and aesthetic considerations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Minimum 2+ year of experience in CAD Design
  • Minimum 2+ years as a Dental Technician.
  • Possess excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excel in teamwork and communication
  • Understanding with in-house milling and 3D printing
  • Understanding of digital workflows
  • Be able to communicate with technicians and liaise about clinical instructions
  • Able to work Monday - Friday
  • This is full time Position
