We are seeking an experienced Dental Technician to join our onsite dental laboratory. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to a dynamic and growing dental team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  1. Qualification: Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or higher in Dental Technology or equivalent
  2. Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a dental laboratory setting
  3. Proven ability to fabricate dentures from start to finish, using all relevant tools and materials
  4. Strong collaboration skills, working with dental technicians and clinicians to meet patient needs
  5. Ability to adapt quickly to modern dental technologies and materials
  6. Attention to detail and high-quality craftsmanship
  7. Full availability Monday to Friday

l Knowledge: Familiar with Australian dental codes and guidelines
l Workplace Health & Safety (WHS): Comply with WHS regulations and sterilization procedures
l Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to high-quality service

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO US:

l Must have 1 year experiencing designing on EXOCAD software
l Artistic abilities in creating natural-looking and aesthetically pleasing dental prosthetics, especially in e.max and zirconia.
l Strong technical skills in fabricating dental restorations, including crowns and bridges (layered), veneers, and implant-retained prostheses (including full arch), from design to finishing.
l In-depth knowledge of dental materials, techniques, and laboratory procedures.

Responsibilities:

As a Dental Technician at Westpoint Dental, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing dentures and other dental appliances. Specific duties include:
l Fabricating Whitening Trays & Splints
l Working with Milling Machines to create crowns and other prosthetics
l Construction of Full and Partial Dentures
l Waxing Up Aesthetic Cases for cosmetic dental procedures
l Collaborating with dental clinicians to ensure accuracy, functionality, and aesthetics of all dental devices
l Ensuring all appliances meet patient-specific needs and comply with Australian dental standards
l Maintaining the dental lab, ensuring equipment is functioning properly and sterilization protocols are followed
l Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and new dental technologies
l Participating in the continuous improvement of dental processes and patient care
