We are looking to hire a Qualified Self Employed Dental Therapist for an extremely busy 5 surgery in Low Fell Gateshead.
A minimum of 30 hours a week to work in an NHS/Private Dental Practice
To carry out Exams, S&P, Cons, Perio under NHS Direct Access - All treatment within the Therapists Scope of Practice. To refer for RCT, XLA and Lab related work to Dentists and to also carry out work under prescription from the Dentist.
Private work is split 50/50
You will have the support of a Dental Nurse
The current rate for a Self-Employed Dental Therapist is £30 per hour -we pay by UDA’s achieved up to £11 net on a sliding scale. - Most Dental Therapists should achieve 4-6 UDA’s per hour e.g. £44-£66 per hour.

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ dental health, utilizing knowledge of anatomy to inform treatment plans and take radiographs
• Provide preventive care, and restorations to children and adults including cleanings and fluoride treatments, while educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and extractions of primary teeth.
• Collaborate with dentists and other dental professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with GDC regulations and standards.
