POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The University of Louisville Family Business Center (FBC) is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Department Coordinator II to support the center’s daily operations. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the center by providing comprehensive administrative, clerical, and office support to the FBC team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, a commitment to customer service, and an interest in supporting the regional business community.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for the center, managing communications and inquiries.
  • Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and staff, including scheduling, correspondence, and document preparation.
  • Maintain accurate records and filing systems (digital and physical)
  • Support membership services, including onboarding, renewals, and engagement communications
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings, workshops, and events, including registration, materials, and vendor arrangements.
  • Assist with financial tasks such as invoice processing, expense tracking, and budget support.
  • Maintain and update databases, mailing lists, and social media platforms.
  • Perform other administrative and support duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
