Description
We have career opportunity as a Department Manager of our Clothing & Footwear department. The Department Manager is responsible for merchandising and sales within his or her assigned department.  Department Managers are responsible to provide the highest level of customer service and report to the Store Manager. This position will require ability to work days, nights, and every other weekend and/or holidays. Retail experience and extensive knowledge and understanding of clothing, footwear, accessories, etc are needed. Pay Range: $ 18.75 - $19.00 Depending on experience. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Direct and coordinate the merchandising of assigned products. 2. Set priorities for distribution of new merchandise within the assigned department. 3. Ensure adequate inventory in all areas of assigned department. 4. Assist customers with purchases. 5. Theft Tag Prevention 6. Work closely with Retail Buyer(s) to ensure awareness of assigned department product needs and other product information. 7. Assist with the training and direction provided to new department team members. 8. Clean & Organize Department 9. Ensure that safety is practiced when handling merchandise by employees and customers.  OTHER DUTIES  Other duties as assigned by the Store Manager MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS  1. Ability to work an irregular work schedule 2. Excellent customer service skills required 3. Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds 4. Long periods of standing 5. Frequent bending and twisting  EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE 1. High School Diploma preferred 2. Customer Service training and or experience preferred. WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS 1.
