QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years of construction experience in a management or supervisory role
  • Experience in fire and flood restoration industry strongly preferred
  • Thorough understanding of construction processes and building code requirements
  • Strong leadership abilities with proven experience motivating and managing construction teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Superior time management and organizational capabilities
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BCIT Bachelor of Technology in Construction Management
  • ITA Red Seal Certification
  • Experience working in Metro Vancouver construction sector

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Phoenix Restorations is seeking an experienced Construction Department Manager to join our team in Coquitlam, BC. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the overall operations of our Construction Department while spending approximately 50% of your time in the field with staff, providing hands-on leadership and guidance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all aspects of the Construction Department operations
  • Oversee staff onboarding, training, and performance assessments
  • Ensure staff have proper tools, equipment, and skills to perform effectively
  • Develop and foster professional relationships with staff to help them achieve their highest level of success
  • Liaise with Project Management Teams to develop efficient workflow strategies
  • Communicate job schedules to all stakeholders
  • Schedule work with clients and dispatch staff accordingly
  • Implement and maintain adherence to building code requirements and safety protocols
