Job Description Responsible for overall supervision of the department To ensure the monitoring of the expiry checks and stock correction in timely manner To ensure that rail cards and signage are replaced and corrected in parallel with price updates received from buyers and Market intelligence To handle customer quires and complains and to further ensure in time resolution To manage and develop workforce of the department through training, performance feedback and coaching To take and coordinate for corrective and preventive measures regarding quality assurance, maintenance, hygiene conditions and security To perform verification of self control system on daily basis To perform goods receiving with proper documentation i.e. weight verification, quality checks, goods receiving note and goods receiving summary Visit market on periodical basis for price checks and coordination with buyers for price updates and changes To ensure and lead weekly inventory in accurate manner by following the prescribed standards Delegating tasks to associates and smooth working of the department Monitoring and controlling staff performance To implement and maintain food safety standards and practices within the department To analyse sales data and trends to optimise product mix and maximise profitability To collaborate with other department managers to ensure seamless store operations and customer experience To stay abreast of industry trends and introduce innovative display and merchandising techniques To manage waste reduction initiatives and implement sustainable practices within the department Qualifications Bachelors or Intermediate with 6-8 years of experience.
Responsibilities
The Department Manager is responsible for the overall supervision of the Fruit & Vegetables department, ensuring timely stock corrections and monitoring expiry checks. They will also manage the workforce through training and performance feedback while collaborating with other departments for seamless operations.
