The Opportunity
Due to internal staff movements, we have an exciting opportunity in our Surfacing Division for a Department Manager to lead our Fulton Hogan Road Marking team in Nelson.
You will resource and schedule crews, ensuring that you have the right people in the right place at the right time as well as price works and manage existing contracts. Building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external clients is pivotal to the success of the business unit as well as the ability to work under pressure to tight timeframes.

What you’ll bring to the table

• Experience in programming / scheduling
• A sound knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Minimum full class 1 driver’s licence
• Leadership capability
• A strong focus on people, safety and quality
• Road marking knowledge / experience is advantageous
• Client focused with an emphasis on establishing relationships
• Ability to budget control with excellent financial acumen
• Good negotiation skills
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Pricing experience an advantage
