JOB DESCRIPTION:

Blizzard Video is the video production arm of the Story & Franchise Development team. We exist to engage, inform, and activate the global Blizzard community through the creation of epic video content.
The (Capture) Department Producer is responsible for the management of team bandwidth, project assignments and coordination, process, and capture deliverables. The Dept Producer, in conjunction with the Managers and Capture Leads, will establish best practices, workflows and communication channels to ensure that projects and assets are moving fluidly through the entire pipeline. They will partner with Project Producers to establish production timelines, asset needs, and the scheduling of Capture resources.
This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The home studio for this role is Irvine, CA.
This is a 12-month temporary position.

EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years working in animation/vfx house post-production house, agency or film/television studio
  • Experience with Shotgun/Shotgrid or other Project management program

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities and able to inspire this in others
  • Proven ability to create, track and maintain complex schedules
Responsibilities
  • Works with the Capture Managers to manage Artist staffing, bandwidth, short-term and long-term assignments
  • Acting liaison between the Capture, Production, Editorial, GFX, and Creative teams
  • Schedules daily assignments and check-ins with the artists to ensure work is being delivered on time
  • Schedules and leads check-ins with Project Producers to ensure they have everything they need each day
  • Coordinates group capture sessions, as needed
  • Maintains and owns a standing sync with Capture Managers
  • Assists Project Producers with outsourcing capture work as needed
  • Coordinates and facilitates communication with Game Teams to identify build statuses, build issues, features, and update
