Job Description At our Heanor site, we produce the Christmas puddings enjoyed by families across the UK. We are seeking two confident, hands-on Production Trainers to support either our Precook and Postcook operations. This factory floor–based role combines structured training delivery with skilled production support. You will ensure colleagues are trained, competent and working safely, while contributing to operational output during peak periods. Job Purpose Deliver safe, consistent production through high-quality, on-demand training. Support production as a Skilled Operative when required. You will ensure all colleagues are trained and signed off in line with SOPs, maintain accurate and audit-ready training records, and remain flexible to meet seasonal demands. Key Responsibilities Training Deliver hands-on production training across shifts. Provide site orientation and support for new starters. Create and manage onboarding training plans. Maintain the training matrix and training records. Adapt training styles to suit individual needs. Act as SME within assigned areas and keep process knowledge up to date. Produce SOPs, risk assessments and training materials as required. Support peak recruitment and escalate issues promptly. Production (When Not Training) Work as a Skilled Operative across Precook and Postcook, including: Tray loading, weighing, pot feeding and stacking Hopper filling (lifting up to 15kg) and sauce depositing Operating production lines and packaging equipment Conducting temperature checks and completing documentation Supporting cleaning, changeovers, allergen control and quality checks Across all duties, you will follow Health & Safety, Quality and Hygiene standards, ensure product integrity, and support colleague integration on the line.
