Role Overview Temenos is seeking a detail-oriented Deployment Engineer to oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of our application deployments. You will be responsible for managing application packages, automating release pipelines, and ensuring high availability across our cloud environments. The ideal candidate lives and breathes CI/CD and views manual intervention as a bug to be fixed. Key Responsibilities Pipeline Orchestration: Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. Environment Management: Manage and scale cloud infrastructure across Dev, QA, Staging, and Production environments. Package Management: Standardize and manage application versioning and dependencies using tools like Azure Artifacts, Helm, or NuGet. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Treat infrastructure like software by utilizing Terraform, ARM templates to ensure environment parity. Deployment Strategy: Execute zero-downtime deployment strategies, including Blue/Green, Canary, and Rolling updates. Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor deployment health and lead the "root cause analysis" (RCA) when things go sideways during a release. Required Technical Skills Cloud Platform: 3+ years of deep experience with Microsoft Azure (App Services, AKS, Azure Functions, SQL Database). CI/CD Tools: Expert-level proficiency in Azure Pipelines (YAML-based) or GitHub Actions. Containerization: Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS). Scripting: Strong command of PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation tasks. Configuration Management: Familiarity with tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet. Soft Skills The "Clean Up" Mindset: A passion for documenting processes and cleaning up "technical debt" in pipelines. Communication: Ability to act as the bridge between Development and Operations teams. Grace Under Pressure: You remain calm and methodical during production-critical deployment windows.
