Job Title: Senior Deployment Engineer
Location: Lister Hospital, Stevenage, Hertfordshire, SG1 4AB
Trust: East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust
Job Type/Shift Patterns: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with hours from 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm, totaling 37.5 hours per week (100% onsite)
Pay Rate: £14.53/Hr. + Holiday pay
Contract Duration: 3 – 4 months (subject to review)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Deployment Engineer will support the Windows 11 rollout across Trust sites, providing 2nd and 3rd line IT support, troubleshooting, and ensuring operational efficiency. NHS experience and knowledge of healthcare IT infrastructure are desirable.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Strong desktop support and systems deployment experience.
• Proficient in Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and ITSM tools (e.g., SCCM, MDT, ServiceNow).
• Excellent communication skills, particularly with non-technical users.
• NHS IT infrastructure knowledge (desirable).

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:

• Degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Microsoft or ITIL certification (desirable).

• Deploy and configure Windows 11 devices.
• Provide advanced support for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Manage service management tools and ensure SLA compliance.
• Lead IT Service Desk escalation support and project deployments.
• Communicate technical issues clearly to end-users.
