The Accessions Information Environment (AIE) is the Army’s 21st-century talent acquisition capability, modernizing and standardizing accessions enterprise talent acquisition Army-wide. This Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) solution is a multi-network, multi-device accessible, secure solution hosted in Salesforce GovCloud+ and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Impact Level (IL) 4 commercial cloud environment. In concert with systems modernization across the enterprise, AIE will originate the Army Soldier record for management in systems downstream. AIE will deliver a fully integrated enterprise system that implements new business practices and modernizes recruiting capabilities that meet all Army manning requirements.
The Deployment Lead will orchestrate complex deployment initiatives and business requirements analysis across multiple Development, Security, Operations (DevSecOps), and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) environments and Army stakeholders. This leadership role requires a results-driven, detailed planner, confident communicator, and hands-on problem solver who can drive a deployment strategy from development through execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end deployment planning and execution for systems, software, or infrastructure
  • Collaborate and author the AIE Deployment Plan
  • Manage deployment schedules and business process reengineering
  • Perform business requirements analysis
  • Shape product feedback based on end-user needs and market trends
  • Act as the primary point of contact between AIE Product Office, AIE Functional Team, and AIE Stakeholders
  • Ensure the system is properly validated before, during, and after deployment
  • Create and maintain detailed deployment documentation, playbooks, and retrospectives
  • Continuously improve deployment processes and tools for scalability and reliability
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related discipline
  • 5+ years of deployment or implementation experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Proven experience with deployment management tools, version control, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) workflows
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and stakeholder communication skills
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills under pressure
  • Must be agile certified (SAFe is preferred) or agree to complete training and obtain certification within 30 days of hire
  • Secret clearance

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Army Accessions and Recruiting knowledge (desired)
  • Experience with Salesforce (desired)
  • Possess hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) (desired)
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps process and cloud infrastructure (AWS GovCloud+)
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, able to convey information across multiple customers and corporate audiences
  • Have proven interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
