Job Details Job Location: Main - HOUMA, LA 70360 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 4 Year Degree Salary Range: $15.00 - $20.03 Hourly Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Day REPORTS TO: Deposit Operations Officer SCHEDULE: 40 Hours (Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM) JOB SUMMARY: The Deposit Operations Representative is responsible for verifying deposit account and customer file maintenance as well as reviewing check and GL exceptions. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Supports the retail areas of the bank to ensure compliance with regulations and bank policy Provide the Synergy Bank standard of excellence in customer service Maintain honesty and the highest level of ethical standards Maintain a strong understanding of all bank products and services. Cross-sell/referrals Perform verification of deposit account and customer file maintenance timely and accurately Review, verify, and close CRM cases timely. Review NuPoint exceptions (caution alerts, 2 signatures required, and GL review) Review Mitek fraud suspect checks Prepare and provide required bank information in response to received subpoenas Respond to credit verification requests Disburse both incoming and outgoing mail daily Sort and file teller work in accordance with established retention requirements Answer incoming calls as necessary and relay messages in a timely manner Follow all bank, department, and security policies and procedures Assists with other duties, pertaining to deposit operations, as directed by their supervisor Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High school diploma or GED equivalent Minimum 6 months in customer service EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Previous Banking Experience COMMUNICATION: Must be able to provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and customers both verbally and in written format REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Proficient in Word and Basic Understanding of Excel and Microsoft Outlook Typing / keyboarding and 10 key calculator skills Effective communication skills both oral and written Ability to pay close attention to detail Ability to analyze information in order to draw a conclusion Ability to organize and prioritize daily tasks Telephone etiquette skills – ability to professionally and politely provide telephone assistance to customers and employees General knowledge of bank products Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment Must always be looking for ways to help people Must be able to maintain compose, suppress extreme emotions, control anger, and avoid aggressive behavior even in trying situations Ability to present a business professional appearance Must have reliable transportation to commute to and from work PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to work at a computer station in front of a monitor for up to 4 hours at a time Must be able to interact with the public utilizing various methods or communication Must be able to lift and carry approximately 20-30 pounds multiple times throughout the day Employee may be required to squat multiple time per day and remain in that position for short periods of time while accessing filing cabinets or distrusting mail at ground level. This could occur as few or as many times as necessary to accomplish the required task MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have the attention span to stay alert and attentive during a normal 8-hour workday Must be able to make sound, quick decisions based on the facts of a situation, and remain calm and in control Must be able to follow instructions and procedures exactly as trained or as directed by supervisor Must be able to listen to, grasp and respond positively to supervision and instructions by management Physical and cognitive ability to perform the essential duties and functions of his/her job
