Job Details Level: Experienced Job Location: Federated Bank - Onarga, IL Salary Range: $18.00 - $25.00 Hourly Description Join our operations team as a Deposit Operations Specialist (Bookkeeper), where accuracy and collaboration drive everything we do. In this role, you’ll process and balance daily transactions, support ACH and wire activity, and assist customers and staff with deposit-related needs. We’re looking for a detail-oriented team player with strong accounting skills and a commitment to keeping our operations running smoothly. This role involves: Balancing the bank daily Opening all types of accounts, issuing stop payments and holds Handling ACH, wires, disputes, and reconciliations Performing regulatory tasks (BSA/AML, CIP, etc.) Communicating with customers and vendors Benefits Include: medical, dental, vision, life, and other insurances, 401k match, clothing credit, paid time off, and more. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Work schedule is typically M-F with some Saturday morning hours. Qualifications Your Experience & Strengths: 2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or banking experience preferred Strong understanding of debits, credits, and account reconciliation Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Confident communicator with strong customer service skills Organized and able to manage multiple deadlines Experience with core banking systems and electronic transaction processing Knowledge of banking regulations, including BSA/AML and ACH rules
