Minimum
4 Year / Bachelor’s Degree

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to Members and other Team Members at the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute dividends and interest.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must be able to process transactions in an efficient manner. Must be able to communicate policies and procedures to Members in an easily understood and professional manner.
Must comply with all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and other Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws and regulations, as they pertain to federal guidelines and internal policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Implement the Vision: You’ll lead the implementation of the Deposit strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Collaborates with other members of the Marketing, Data Analytics, Digital, Operations and Lines of Business to research, recommend, and implement product enhancements, product additions, and the re- launch or retirement of existing products based on member needs and growth potential.
  • Monitors market trends and information collected by the credit union to identify potential areas for the development of new financial products, and/or the restructuring of existing products.
  • Own deposit product pricing recommendations and product performance analysis, designing and developing dashboards for the portfolio and supporting new products and key strategies.
  • Provides thought leadership and proposes practical solutions based on research and knowledge of the latest developments in the fields of finance, community development, and emerging market trends, and digital technology. You’ll guide decision-making and strategies that engage and delight our members.
  • Leads product concept design, research activities, and growth goals of all consumer lending products
  • Plans and executes on product management activities throughout the lifecycle of card products
  • Provides regular feedback on product requirements, including product specifications functionality, pricing, and member needs
  • Prepares and executes product launches and report on key performance metrics such as expectations of market size, market uptake, market share, expected budgeted sales, and market feedback
  • Define OKRs/KPIs and set stretch goals for your product
  • Track Success Metrics: By defining and monitoring success metrics, you’ll capture insights that inform product evolution and roadmap adjustments over time.
  • Build Industry Partnerships: You’ll identify and engage with necessary industry partners, collaborating with User Experience and Design teams to create impactful member journeys.
  • Effectively manages Valley Strong’s formal approval and project management processes while working with Senior Management to gain consensus on product plans and to gather the resources necessary to support the development, launch and on-going management of product initiatives; maintains excellent working relationships with key executives, managers, and other key business partners
  • Collaborates during all phases of a product lifecycle, including Marketing for the creation and review of marketing materials and promotional campaigns; Field Sales channels to support and develop sales teams and to meet sales and revenue objectives; Training for the development or revision of product training material, courses, and job aids for employees; Operations for the development of back-office procedures and systems; and Information Technology for supporting hardware and software
  • Partners both internally and externally with third parties to deliver and optimize innovative products that delight our members and drive loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Product Management Team Support - Serve as a resource to the broader product management team by contributing to the creation and maintenance of quarterly competitive analysis, filling coverage gaps, and other projects including analysis and research.
  • All team members must comply with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements including but not limited to BSA regulations corresponding to their specific job duties. This includes the SAFE Act. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary and other employment related actions.
