SEB Investor Services Luxembourg is the business unit responsible for the depositary function and the global custody product for institutional clients. Our client segment consists mainly of Luxembourg domiciled investment funds (UCITS and AIF) and some large corporates. Depositary Services & Oversight is focused on the oversight of our funds but is also in charge of other asset safekeeping and cash flow monitoring.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Depository Officer, you will be part of a team of 8 people and will report to the Head of Depositary and Oversight Services.

Your main responsibilities in this role are the following

  • Being responsible for the day-to-day tasks, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of all controls around safekeeping of other assets, cash flow monitoring and oversight.
  • Ensuring compliance with our obligations, investigating issues, and raising concerns
  • Following regulatory developments, sharing insights and supporting in implementing new rules and regulations in a robust, efficient, and audit-proof manner
  • Creating and maintaining cultivate relationships with our clients and building a network with the aim of fostering collaboration locally and globally within SEB
  • Participating in projects, proposing and driving efficiency and quality improvements
  • Assisting with sales activities and the onboarding of new clients

TO THRIVE IN THIS ROLE, WE BELIEVE YOU HAVE

  • University degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Accounting, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in the investment fund industry, consulting, or a university graduate with relevant internship experience
  • A solid understanding of Luxembourg fund structures and their regulatory requirements or be eager to learn quickly
  • Willingness to develop skills in stakeholder management, and communication.
  • Approach work with a positive outlook, a can-do attitude, and a strong sense of ownership
  • Work autonomously while fostering a collaborative team spirit
  • Equally comfortable being hands-on and detailed or providing high-level oversight as needed
  • Ability to challenge the status quo, possess the drive to create efficient, risk-controlled, and robust
  • Willingness to become familiar with Microsoft 365 and other common office applications.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken), other languages are considered as an advantage
