Responsibilities

YOUR FUTURE ROLE

Take on a new challenge and apply your track expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Depot Manager – Sydney Metro, Rouse Hill, and work alongside motivated and passionate teammates.
You’ll drive the maintenance strategy for Depot Equipment, lead the overhaul workshop installation project and lead the Alstom Production System (APSYS) roadmap to drive industry best practices whilst ensuring that work is done in a safe manner, to quality and to budget. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering department, maintenance technicians), taking care the maintenance of the depot and much more.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Managing the depot equipment maintenance strategy and implementation with a sound industrialisation approach.
  • Managing the existing assets and prepare the future maintenance tasks and overhaul workshops (including a complete bogie overhaul workshop)
  • Managing the industrial components of the project to reach leaner manufacturing practices and gain efficiency.
  • Leading the APSYS roadmap implementation.

To be successful in the role, you will have;

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical) or equivalent.
  • An electrical connect/disconnect as a minimum.
  • Operations and Safety management experience.
  • Experience in a similar ‘depot maintenance’ role.
  • Previous experience working with and around Rolling Stock.
  • Demonstrated experience in both preventative and corrective maintenance of depot equipment including but not limited to; overhead cranes, wheel lathes, borers, wheel press, bearing presses, test benches and equipment
