About the role As a Depot Technician, you’ll be part of our Supply Chain department and contribute to the smooth running of our depot. This is a dynamic role with plenty of variety, no two days are the same. Your main responsibility, together with the Depot Manager, is to operate and maintain the depot and uphold Nynas HSSE&Q Standards. You’ll also be involved in administrative tasks and have daily contact with customers, suppliers, transport providers and other departments in Nynas. The work tasks cover the entire supply chain from unloading ships at the depot, storage, and delivery to customers. You’ll work in a supportive team, where collaboration and backing each other up is key. In the absence of the Depot Manager, you’ll step in to ensure depot operations run smoothly. The position is based at Nynas’ depot in Drammen. Some travel may be required. Key responsibilities: Maintenance work and planning (manage several systems) Delivery plans for customers Customer contact and supplier contacts Administrative routines including non-conformance reporting Ship discharging Handling of truck loading system Training of truck drivers Safety control of bitumen trucks Product control – samples and lab analyses Control of delivery equipment About you You are thorough, structured, and have a strong focus on safety. It is important that you are service-oriented and communicative. You also need to be a team player and able to handle a certain level of stress. We also believe you are interested in contributing ideas and improvements. We believe you are a technically skilled person with experience from industrial work, perhaps as a mechanic, technician, or process operator. Experience with administration of work permits, maintenance system, quality system and purchasing follow up of suppliers is also beneficial. Qualifications: Strong IT skills to manage our loading and administrative systems A technical or process-related education / strong interest 1–2 years of experience in depot, refinery, transport operations or other industry is beneficial Familiarity with ADR and hazardous goods Work language is Norwegian, but you are also required to have good English skills, both spoken and written Driving license What we offer We offer a varied and developing position in an organization where safety and quality are the top priorities.
