We’re looking for a Depot/Yard Assistant based in Doncaster. The Depot Assistant will report to the Depot Team Leader and support the day-to-day operation of the depot, keeping the depot safe and tidy as well as low-level maintenance of fleet.

YOU’LL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in a similar role within a depot, warehouse, or operational environment
  • Ability to follow health and safety procedures and maintain a clean working environment
  • Experience with FLTs and other handling equipment (desirable but not essential)
  • Basic mechanical knowledge or experience in servicing equipment (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to complete reports accurately
  • Ability to work effectively within a team

Responsibilities
  • Unloading and loading of vehicles and fleet
  • General duties involved in hire activities and site working when required, including the use of FLTs and company vehicles
  • Cleaning of equipment prior to hire
  • Ancillary Equipment Preparation (including cables, distribution panels, and TC equipment)
  • Basic servicing activities under the supervision of qualified personnel
  • Inventory responsibilities, including the repair of all MC fleet
  • Completion of all necessary service reports on equipment
  • Maintain the yard and workshop in a neat and tidy state
  • Ensure all yard/workshop equipment is in safe/good working order
  • Carry out any other duties which are reasonable and within your abilities to support other areas of the business
