Description
Our client is a leading life insurance company backed by a reputable international financial group. The company is expanding its actuarial and product development capabilities to deliver innovative insurance solutions and enhance long-term growth. The position is responsible for new product development and product maintenance to ensure alignment with business strategies, regulatory requirements, and profitability targets. Key Responsibilities Lead and support new product development, including product design, defining product specifications, conducting competitor analysis, and drafting policy wording. Prepare pricing and profit testing assumptions; build and implement actuarial models for pricing, profit testing, and product illustrations, ensuring complete documentation. Set up and model new products in actuarial software (Prophet). Develop technical notes, tariff structures, and prepare submission materials for MOF product approval. Collaborate with IT, Operations, Sales, and Legal teams to set up new products in systems and perform UAT. Develop, maintain, and regularly update product pricing and profit testing models within actuarial software. Update existing products to comply with new regulations and evolving business requirements. Conduct back-testing and experience studies to validate pricing assumptions and best-estimate parameters. Support the completion of MOF exercises on time. Handle reinsurance-related tasks and perform Asset-Liability Duration analysis when required. Participate in company-wide or partnership projects related to product development and profitability assessment. Provide ad-hoc actuarial support, including data analysis for Sales, Operations, and Finance, or clarifying IT requirements for model implementation. Develop and update procedures and documentation for product development, profit testing, and other actuarial processes. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or Mathematics. Professional Certifications: Minimum of 5 passed actuarial exams. Experience: At least 3 years of experience in product pricing or related actuarial roles. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel, VBA, and actuarial software (Prophet preferred); strong modeling and profit testing skills. Language: Fluent in English (written and spoken).
