Description

We are seeking a committed and proactive Deputy Domiciliary Care Manager to join our dynamic team in the day to day operations, ensuring high-quality care delivery and compliance across the Holsworthy and Bideford localities. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the Registered Managers with view to progressing onto a registered manger role in the future.
This role will be both office based and face to face with service users.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leadership & Supervision: - Lead the care team during scheduled shifts, offering guidance and support. - Provide senior leadership cover during weekdays, weekends and out-of-hours periods. - Support performance management, staff supervisions, and training.
  • Quality & Compliance: - Conduct spot checks, care reviews, audits, and compliance monitoring. - Support medication audits and care documentation reviews. - Report safeguarding or quality concerns in line with policy.
  • Operational Support: - Assist with rota planning, short-notice cover, and service coordination. - Liaise with the Registered Managers to ensure continuity of leadership. - Attend unplanned care shift/calls if essential for service delivery in emergencies. - Participate in the on-call rota, supporting out-of-hours queries, unplanned absences, and emergency issues. - Conduct client assessments and reviews

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Hold or be working towards a QCF/NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership
  • Experience in domiciliary care
  • Strong IT and reporting skills
  • Medication and risk management awareness
  • Driving license and access to vehicle
  • Excellent team leadership and problem-solving
  • CQC regulations and safeguarding knowledge
  • Reliable, flexible, calm under pressure
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Participation in on-call duties
