We are a London-based fintech company with a mindful approach to financial services. Operating under a FCA-approved Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license, MADFIN delivers card acquiring tailored for fast-moving, high-growth businesses. We are looking for Deputy CFO to join our rapidly growing team. Support the CFO in shaping and executing the company’s financial strategy, governance framework, and overall financial performance. Act as a key partner to the CFO and senior leadership team, contributing to strategic decision-making, financial planning, and long-term business growth. Lead company-wide financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling. Drive financial analysis, profitability assessment, and cost optimization initiatives to support operational efficiency and business scalability. Oversee treasury operations, liquidity monitoring, and support capital allocation decisions. Ensure adherence to financial and regulatory requirements applicable to a regulated fintech entity (including FCA / EMI regulatory frameworks). Coordinate financial and regulatory audits and manage day-to-day interactions with external auditors and relevant regulatory stakeholders. Oversee safeguarding processes, client funds reconciliation, and preparation of regulatory financial reporting. Maintain and strengthen internal control mechanisms, financial governance, and risk management procedures. Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards. Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and implementation of scalable financial systems. Collaborate closely with cross-functional leadership (Compliance, Product, Operations, Commercial) to align financial planning with business objectives. Provide financial support for strategic initiatives, partnerships, product launches, and commercial negotiations Proven experience as Finance Director, or senior finance executive in fintech, payments, e-money institution (EMI), or regulated financial services is mandatory Strong understanding of card acquiring, Mastercard and Visa standards, payment flows, safeguarding, and regulatory capital requirements. Demonstrated experience leading financial planning, scaling operations, and driving profitability in a high-growth environment. Hands-on experience working with regulators and managing financial and regulatory audits. Deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks applicable to fintech (e.g., FCA, EMI regulations, safeguarding rules, AML reporting interactions). Strong understanding of liquidity management, capital adequacy, and treasury functions in a regulated environment.
