REQUIREMENTS:

  • 8 Years experience as Deputy Construction Manager OR at least 8 years or More as civil engineer.
  • Able to Issue and Approve PTW
  • Degree in Civil Engineering (Degree in Civil Engineering recognised by the PE Board or qualification acceptable to the BCA
  • This requires a practical understanding of Singapore’s key construction regulations, including the Building Control Act for structural integrity, Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act for on-site safety, and quality benchmarks like BCA CONQUAS. It ensures all work is legally compliant, safe, and meets industry standards.
  • Must be a team player with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of management.
  • May be require to work long hours during peak period

Responsibilities
  • Conduct technical reviews to ensure compliance with project specifications and requirements.
  • Coordinate activities with subcontractors in accordance with project schedules and contract terms.
  • Manage the project budget and expenditures to ensure adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Manage and allocate all on-site resources effectively.
  • Oversee workplace safety to ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor construction quality to ensure compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Monitor construction progress against the project timeline and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Negotiate with relevant parties (e.g., clients, subcontractors, suppliers) to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and manage work schedules to ensure project plans are executed effectively.
  • Prepare regular reports to track project progress, costs, and key metrics.
  • Prepare tenders and contract bids.
  • Supervise the on-site labour force to ensure all operations comply with established standards and regulations.
