We are looking for a proactive and dedicated Deputy Course Manager to join our team, supporting the Course Manager in overseeing the daily operation of the golf course and ensuring that planned maintenance activities are carried out to the highest standard. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in maintaining the beauty and functionality of our course while working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
In this role, you will oversee and assist with the upkeep of all plant, machinery, and equipment used on the golf course, liaising with external contractors and engineers to ensure any faults are promptly addressed. You will work closely with the Course Manager to select, train and evaluate Greenkeepers, ensuring they operate machinery and equipment efficiently and safely. Your duties will also include planning and implementing maintenance schedules, inspecting the course regularly and ensuring all areas, from bunkers to water features, are well-maintained.
You will also assist in maintaining irrigation systems, enforcing health and safety policies and providing valuable input on equipment purchases. In the absence of the Course Manager, you will chair departmental meetings and ensure that any member feedback is passed on to help continually improve the course.
If you are passionate about golf course management, have strong leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail, we’d love to hear from you. Join us and make a lasting impact on the upkeep and presentation of our beautiful golf course.
