NTU Honours College (NHC) is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to serve as Deputy Director, Academic and Administration. This senior-level role is pivotal in shaping the direction, delivery, and integration of NHC’s flagship academic programmes, talent development initiatives, student engagement efforts, and administrative operations.
Working directly with the Dean and Associate Deans, and leading a team of senior administrators, the Deputy Director will ensure that NHC continues to cultivate top undergraduate talent through a rigorous, interdisciplinary, and impactful educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight across four core portfolios:
- Social Impact (e.g. service learning and fundraising projects)
- Programmes (e.g. ambassador training, leadership symposia, venture creation)
- Talent Strategy (e.g. admissions, scholarship management, outreach)
- Administration (e.g. finance, HR, procurement, compliance)
- Align NHC’s academic offerings (Social Impact, Programmes, Talent Strategy) and offerings across the signature programmes with university priorities. This includes supervising and guiding the key staff members in NHC (Social Impact, Programmes and Talent Strategy), as well as collaborating closely with the senior administrative staff and teams across the five signature programmes, for alignment with NHC’s overall mission
- Align academic and operational functions with NHC’s mission and NTU’s broader strategic priorities.
- Support curriculum innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Collaborate with senior leads in other Colleges/Schools, as well as Heads of Administration across NTU.
- Represent NHC in university-wide committees and with external stakeholders (e.g. donors, alumni, community partners).
- Drive strategic planning, policy development, programme integration, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Oversee college-wide budgeting, resource planning, asset and grant management, and operational reporting to ensure financial sustainability and governance compliance with financial policies and procurement guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Human Resources Business Partner and Finance Business Partner for human-resources and finance related matters respectively
- Promote a collaborative, values-driven, and student-centred team culture across the College.
- Drive cross-functional training, engagement, and communication and promote continuous improvement and capacity building within the team to support organisational effectiveness.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in any discipline, preferably with Finance and/or Administration and Operations background . A Master’s degree or higher is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of academic governance, student affairs, and interdisciplinary programme management.
- Knowledge of Singapore’s higher education and scholarship ecosystem.
- Familiarity with finance, procurement, HR policies, and compliance frameworks in a university setting.
- At least 12–15 years of experience in higher education, with 5+ years in a senior leadership or cross-functional management role.
- Prior administrative experience within an institute of higher learning will be an added advantage.
- Proven ability to lead complex academic and administrative portfolios with strategic impact.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong planning and project management capabilities.
