The Mission of the Adams County Victim Witness Assistance Program is to meet the many needs of crime victims and their families by providing compassionate services and advocating for the fair and dignified treatment of crime victims as mandated in the Crime Victim’s Rights Act. Primary Function: As a Deputy Director/Direct Service Victim Advocate you will have the responsibility of assisting victims and their families as they navigate through the criminal and juvenile justice system. This position provides support to the Program Director to ensure the continuity of programs and services provided to Victims of Crime in Adams County and will assist in all aspects of program administration and operation. In addition, this position will provide a wide variety of direct services to support the physical, financial, and emotional recovery of victims of crime and providing the delineated rights and services guaranteed by the Crime Victims Act to all victims and witnesses of crime in the adult and juvenile justice system.  Qualifications 1. A bachelor’s degree in counseling, criminal justice, or related field preferred. 2. A minimum of two years’ experience handling a caseload involving clients experiencing crisis situations may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree. 3. Supervisory experience preferred.   4. Spanish/English bilingual skills a plus.  5.
