[What the role is] Deputy Director, Liquidity & Asset-Liability Management Risk Specialist (1-Year Contract) [What you will be working on] The Financial Risk Specialist Division (Banking Department II) is recruiting a specialist to support MAS’ supervision of financial institutions’ liquidity and asset-liability management risks. This position entails evaluating financial institutions’ approaches towards liquidity risk and asset-liability management, including their methodologies and models. You are expected to conduct market surveillance, research the latest risk management techniques, and develop supervisory policies / guidelines to financial institutions in Singapore. [What we are looking for] Relevant experience in liquidity and asset-liability risk management functions with a financial institution, or relevant degree in Quantitative Finance. Postgraduate degree in those fields or candidates with professional qualifications like CFA, PRM or FRM preferred. Understanding of liquidity risk management processes and interest rate risk management. Highly analytical, quantitative and possess good working knowledge of data analytical tools, with the ability to evaluate financial institutions’ methodologies and models, and to leverage data and analytics to derive risk insights Good and concise writing skills with the ability to translate technical reports into supervisory risk implications. Ability to drill down to details rigorously, as well as identify broad trends and issues proactively Natural curiosity and energetic approach to problem solving and able to bring in fresh perspectives Strong team player, and willingness to go the extra mile when necessary All applicants will be notified on whether they are shortlisted or not within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting.
