Description
TITLE:  Deputy Director of Revenue    CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CLASS: Under direction, works with and for the Director of Revenue in the management of the Department of Revenue. Assumes responsibility for the Department of Revenue in the absence of the Director. Performs related duties as required.    EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: * Works with the Director to develop the budget for all of Revenue.  * Manages staff and operations of divisions within the department.   * Oversees management in areas such as administration, planning, scheduling, negotiating, staff coordination, managing workflows, deconfliction, troubleshooting, problem solving and resolving customer concerns.   * Assists in the selection of contractors and oversees the administration of contracts.  * Oversees the performance of outside contractors.  * Ensures compliance to contracts. Serves as a liaison to contractors.   * Oversees special event permit processes and policies and rental agreements.   * Identifies opportunities to increase revenue and improve services.  * Prepares and analyzes reports on the status of Revenue.
