THE OPPORTUNITY                                                                                                 (POSITION OVERVIEW) The Deputy Director of Secondary Implementation will collaborate with iLEAD CA staff to design, implement, and improve personalized secondary learning programs. This includes integrating CTE and Dual Enrollment opportunities, conducting pathway assessments, and using data to identify needs and guide decision-making. The role supports schools in implementing programs with clear benchmarks, monitors learner progress and program effectiveness, and analyzes secondary outcomes to inform continuous improvement. Additionally, the Deputy Director provides targeted professional development, promotes a culture of data-driven reflection, ensures fidelity of grant-funded programs, and supports equitable access to college and career pathways, while performing other duties as assigned. WHAT YOU WILL DO                                                                          (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES) * Work collaboratively with all iLEAD CA staff to build needed learning programs for schools that we serve. * Collaborative Program Design: Work collaboratively with all network staff to implement personalized secondary learning programs grades 7-12, specifically focusing on the integration of career-connected learning, Career Technical Education,  and Dual Enrollment into the learner experience. * Comprehensive Pathway Assessments: Assist schools in conducting thorough assessments to identify gaps in college/career programming engagement, instructional fidelity, and the successful "on-track" status of learners in pathways with vertical alignment grades 7-12. * Data-Driven Needs Analysis: Develop high-level needs analysis using quantitative data (registration trends, college course pass rates, grant spend-down) and qualitative data (classroom observations, learner surveys, and feedback from industry partners). * Strategic Consensus Building: Work closely with iCA staff, school directors, and site leads to implement secondary improvement priorities grades 7-12. * Implementation & Benchmarking: Assist schools in executing programmatic implementation plans for new CTE pathways or college cohorts, including setting rigorous goals, enrollment timelines, and success benchmarks. * Monitoring & Evaluation Systems: maintain systems for monitoring progress toward secondary goals, collecting relevant data on learner performance in off-site or online college courses, and conducting regular evaluations of instructional effectiveness. * Complex Metric Analysis: Analyze complex data sets related to secondary outcomes to inform real-time decision-making and adjust instructional strategies. * Professional Development & Modeling: Organize and facilitate targeted PD, including modeling project-based learning (PBL) strategies, observing CTE instructors, and training staff on the technical systems of dual enrollment and grant compliance. * Continuous Improvement Culture: Promote a culture of reflection and adaptation within secondary departments, encouraging staff to use learner performance data to pivot instructional approaches and support structures. * Solution-Oriented Decision Making: Analyze barriers to college career readiness, identify innovative solutions, and make effective decisions to ensure equitable access for all learners. * Fidelity & Grant Oversight: Establish systems for monitoring the fidelity of implementation for grant-funded programs, ensuring all activities meet the requirements of secondary-specific funding sources. * Support school-to-home connection, community outreach and partnerships, and a strong culture of community engagement and programming.  * Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
