JOB SUMMARY

The Caltech Center for Technology and Management Education (CTME) provides professional and executive training for technology-driven organizations and individuals. In a typical year, CTME will work with 15-20 organizations to develop customized training programs to support technology transfer and the adoption of new business approaches. CTME also offers over 50 public classes. Courses are provided on campus, at corporate sites, online via Zoom and Teams, and on-demand through our Learning Management System. CTME works with Institute faculty and staff, other university partners, industry training providers, and consultants to develop, deploy, and evaluate this training.
Reporting to the CTME Executive Director, the Deputy Director is responsible for driving growth and revenue by identifying new business opportunities, supporting current clients, and designing, developing, and delivering professional and executive training. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in business and operations management in the training or education sector, exceptional communication and negotiation skills, and a strong ability to build and maintain business relationships. This is a full-time, regular position.
This is an Organizational Critical position. In the event of an emergency on campus, an employee designated as organizational critical is expected to report to Campus as soon as possible to assist in division/department response and recovery efforts.
