Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible. Job Description: Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Deputy Engineer (Civil) to join our team! What You’ll Be Doing: Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and inspectors across civil, mechanical, electrical, and architectural disciplines. Monitor and coordinate contractor activities within the assigned rail project area to ensure safe and efficient project delivery. Develop discipline-specific construction schedules and monitor progress against project milestones. Provide schedule updates, progress assessments, and reporting to the Construction Manager. Monitor material procurement, delivery, and availability to ensure construction activities remain on schedule. Verify that delivered materials comply with project specifications, quality requirements, and industry standards. Maintain first-level quality assurance oversight to ensure all installation works are executed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and applicable standards. Supervise construction engineering activities and provide technical expertise across one or more construction disciplines. Ensure that inspections and testing activities are conducted, witnessed, documented, and completed in accordance with approved procedures. Collaborate with construction management teams to identify and mitigate safety, environmental, and operational risks. Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with site-specific safety requirements and industry standards. Coordinate with design engineering teams to support construction activities and resolve technical issues. Review and interpret design drawings and specifications to ensure work is executed in accordance with the latest approved revisions. Provide technical solutions to engineering and construction challenges and coordinate implementation with project stakeholders. Maintain project records, progress reports, back-charge documentation, and other project controls documentation as required. Coordinate and organize project documentation for final handover and project closeout activities. Interface with clients, contractors, and senior management to support successful project execution. What Required Skills You’ll Bring: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Minimum 8 years of post-graduate experience on major civil or infrastructure projects. Experience on rail, metro, transit, or related transportation projects. Proven experience leading and managing multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams. Strong problem-solving, coordination, and organizational skills. Experience with construction materials testing and quality assurance, including soil, concrete, grout, dewatering, and load testing activities. Strong understanding of construction planning, material delivery, staging, scheduling, and site coordination. Knowledge of construction quality, safety, and compliance requirements. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. What Desired Skills You’ll Bring: Previous GCC project experience. Experience delivering fit-out, station, depot, or transportation infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of multidisciplinary construction interfaces within complex project environments.
