EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering preferably from an ABET accredited program with 5+ years of experience in any Engineering discipline with Construction experience OR
  • Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering preferably from an ABET accredited program with 3+ years of experience in any Engineering discipline with Construction experience
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance.

THE DEPUTY ENGINEERING LEADER PREFERRED EDUCATION AND TRAINING IS:

  • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE/EIT) certification
  • Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) certification
  • Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) training
  • National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) training

THE DEPUTY ENGINEERING LEADER REQUIRED SKILLS ARE:

  • Strong knowledge of one or more technologies and various application methods.
  • Experience with collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Ability to lead and participate in technical discussions with project leadership.
  • Ability to lead the application of principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment for one or more specific branches of engineering to the design and production of various goods and services.
  • Strong Knowledge cost estimation.
  • Strong knowledge of finance systems and basic principles of finance management.
  • Ability to design, build, and development of a new product, technology, or service
  • Ability to calculate and present the costs of a project when budgeting.
  • Ability to develop and maintain trust and trusting relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding
  • Applied experience in developing and providing solutions to complex technical challenges.
  • Tools Experience MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access) MS Outlook Mail Engineering Document Management System (EDMS) Microsoft Visio SharePoint SureTrak
  • All M.C. Dean applications (including, but not limited to Job Connect, EVMS, Timesheets, Accubid, Infralink, Forms)
