Description
a) Strategic Execution & Operational Leadership Translate the Group Communications Strategy into structured operational plans with clear deliverables and timelines. Drive departmental OKR implementation, performance tracking, and reporting cadence. Oversee day-to-day functional execution across branding, content, media relations, digital engagement, internal communications, events and protocols. Ensure operational readiness for major corporate milestones, board engagements, and flagship initiatives. b) Brand Governance & Institutional Alignment Enforce the Group-wide Brand Governance Framework across subsidiaries and investee companies. Act as operational gatekeeper for brand standards, visual identity compliance, and messaging integrity. Lead brand alignment initiatives during mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, or repositioning exercises. Maintain and continuously refine brand governance toolkits and implementation guidelines. c)Institutional Narrative & Executive Content Oversight Lead the integration of JCorp’s institutional narrative across portfolio companies. Oversee development of executive communications, including speeches, opinion articles, board-level materials and strategic presentations. Ensure ESG, socio-economic impact, and investment positioning are coherently embedded into communications outputs. Maintain message discipline and narrative consistency across platforms. d) Reputation Risk & Crisis Coordination Operationalise the Group’s crisis communication framework in coordination with Risk and Governance Division. Conduct reputational impact screening for major announcements and initiatives. Coordinate response protocols during high-risk or sensitive situations. Ensure appropriate escalation processes are adhered to prior to SGM intervention. e) Media & External Engagement Management Oversee structured media engagement planning and tracking. Ensure spokesperson briefing discipline and message alignment. Strengthen proactive positioning of JCorp leadership in strategic forums and publications. Maintain media mapping and engagement records to support reputation management. f) Performance Measurement & Reporting Develop and maintain reputation dashboards and brand performance reports. Institutionalise digital monitoring, sentiment analysis, and stakeholder feedback tracking mechanisms. Establish data-driven KPIs to assess communications effectiveness. Provide structured reporting to support SGM briefings to Management and Board where required. g) Team Leadership & Capability Development Directly manage and develop the GCC team to ensure high standards of delivery and professionalism. Institutionalise approval workflows, quality control protocols, and governance safeguards. Mentor second-line leaders and build succession strength within the department. Foster a culture of accountability, clarity, and continuous improvement. 3. Complexity & Decision-Making Authority Strategic and operational decision-making within delegated communications scope. Approval authority over brand standards, narrative frameworks, and content outputs within established limits. Joint authority with SGM on high-risk communications matters. Authority to enforce governance, standards, and compliance across the Group.
