Key Responsibilities Strategic Project Leadership * Lead end-to-end electrical engineering delivery for multiple large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects. * Provide strategic inputs during project planning, design finalization, budgeting, and phasing to optimize lifecycle costs and constructability. * Drive alignment of electrical scope with overall project timelines, procurement strategies, and execution plans. Design & Engineering Governance * Oversee electrical design development including HT/LT systems, substations, DG sets, renewable integration, ELV interfacing, lighting controls, and energy-efficient systems. * Review and approve electrical designs, specifications, BOQs, and value engineering proposals in coordination with consultants. * Ensure compliance with NBC, IS codes, local authority norms, energy regulations, and sustainability guidelines. Execution Oversight & Quality Assurance * Govern on-site execution through PMCs and contractors to ensure adherence to approved designs, quality benchmarks, and safety standards. * Conduct periodic project reviews, site audits, and risk assessments; proactively resolve technical and execution bottlenecks. * Ensure robust testing, commissioning, and handover processes across all projects. Cost, Commercial & Vendor Management * Own electrical CAPEX and OPEX budgeting, cost control, and variance management. * Lead contractor and vendor evaluations, finalizations, negotiations, and performance reviews. * Support commercial teams in contract management, billing certifications, variation approvals, and claims resolution. Stakeholder & Authority Management * Act as the single-point technical authority for all electrical matters with internal stakeholders, consultants, PMCs, and contractors. * Interface with statutory bodies and utility agencies for power sanctions, inspections, approvals, and energization. * Collaborate with Sustainability, Safety, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure readiness for project handover and asset operations. Team Leadership & Capability Building * Lead and mentor electrical engineering teams across projects; set performance expectations and execution standards. * Drive process improvement, standardization, and knowledge-sharing across projects. * Support leadership in developing MEP standards, technical guidelines, and preferred vendor frameworks.
