Description

Control and Compliance: Establish and implement procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with corporate standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular audits of procurement processes to ensure adherence to established protocols and identify areas for improvement. Ensure the procurement process is efficient, transparent, and compliant with internal policies and external regulations. Cost Optimization: Develop and implement procurement strategies that deliver significant cost savings while maintaining quality and service levels. Analyze spend data and market trends to identify opportunities for cost reduction. Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure the best possible terms and conditions, focusing on cost-effective sourcing. Budget Management: Manage the procurement budget effectively, ensuring alignment with company financial objectives. Monitor and report on procurement performance against budget, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as needed. Collaborate with finance and operations teams to forecast procurement needs and budgetary requirements. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks within the procurement function, including transport risks, market volatility, and geopolitical factors. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity and safeguard against potential disruptions. Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation in procurement processes, exploring new tools, technologies, and practices that can enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function to optimize processes and achieve best-in-class procurement performance. Leverage technology and data analytics to enhance sourcing strategies and decision-making processes.
