Overview: The Deputy General Manager of AVIAREPS Australia & New Zealand will support the overall leadership, commercial development, and operational management of the business across both markets. This is a senior commercial role requiring a strong aviation background, proven business development capability, and the ability to operate both strategically and operationally within a fast-paced, client-driven environment. The role offers significant growth potential, with the opportunity to expand responsibilities over time, including broader regional or aviation-focused scope depending on the candidate’s profile and capabilities. Key Responsibilities: 1. Business Development & Growth: Drive business growth across Australia & New Zealand Identify, pursue, and secure new airline, tourism, and travel-related clients Lead and contribute to RFPs, proposals, and commercial negotiations Expand AVIAREPS’ client portfolio and strengthen market presence Build and maintain a strong pipeline of new business opportunities 2. Leadership & Team Support: Support the overall management of the Australia & New Zealand business Work closely with the General Manager/ VP to drive performance and achieve targets Lead, mentor, and support the local team to ensure a high-performance culture Align team activities with company strategy and client objectives 3. Client Relationship Management: Act as a senior point of contact for key clients and partners Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines, tourism boards, and industry stakeholders Ensure delivery excellence across sales, marketing, and representation services Provide strategic recommendations and performance insights to clients 4. Operational & Financial Management: Support oversight of day-to-day operations across Australia & New Zealand Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance tracking Ensure efficient resource allocation and cost management Monitor business performance and implement improvements where required 5. Strategic Contribution: Support the development and execution of business strategies across ANZ Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and commercial opportunities Contribute to broader aviation and regional initiatives as relevant to the role and profile Qualifications & Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in the aviation industry in a commercial or sales-related role (essential) Proven track record in business development and client acquisition Experience within the GSA model or airline commercial environment highly regarded Additional experience in tourism or travel-related sectors considered a plus Strong understanding of airline distribution, partnerships, and market dynamics Demonstrated ability to manage or support a profitable business unit Profile: Strong commercial mindset with a “hunter” mentality Entrepreneurial, proactive, and results-driven Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on Strong network within the aviation industry Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills Leadership capability with the ability to motivate and guide teams Additional Requirements: Based in Australia (Sydney preferred) Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required Strong understanding of the Australian and New Zealand aviation markets If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
