The University of Strathclyde is seeking an experienced and driven Deputy Head of Catering & Hospitality (DHCH) to support the Head of Catering & Hospitality (HCH) in leading the dynamic and growing Strathclyde Catering team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering our ambitious 2030 strategy and shaping the future of food and beverage service at one of Scotland’s leading universities.
Strathclyde Catering is a commercially focused service, wholly owned by the University, with a turnover of approximately £4 million annually. We operate a diverse portfolio, including 10 retail units, fine dining and hospitality services, campus-wide delivered catering provision, and a unique 12-bedroom 17th-century Country House at Loch Lomond.
In recent years, the service has undergone major transformation, with further strategic expansion on the horizon. The DHCH will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible not only for day-to-day operations but also for driving forward innovation, service excellence, and sustainable growth in line with our long-term vision.
We are looking for a dynamic and adaptable leader who is a strategic thinker with a proven track record of operating and aligning the business with customer needs and driving continuous improvement and financial accountability to ensure the provision of first-class catering services which exceed customer expectations.
Interviews are scheduled to take place on 4 September 2025.
