• Assists in daily operations of a Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) facility under direction of the Juvenile Facility Manager with regards to treatment and business responsibilities.
• Assists in the daily operations of the program and provides daily supervision to assigned staff. Recommends personnel actions including disciplinary, etc.
• Administers all aspects of the facility in the absence of the Juvenile Facility Manager. Interprets and enforces policies and procedures.
• Coordinates American Correctional Association (ACA) accreditation process.
• Consults with attorneys, parents, departmental personnel and other interested parties as they relate to services provided to juveniles in DJJ care.
• May be required to restrain out-of-control juveniles
