Responsibilities

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

The Deputy Lead Cyber Architect’s primarily responsibilities include:

  • Provide broad based experience in systems engineering lifecycle and apply experience to specific Cyber Security architectural design and development initiatives
  • Review security architectures and technical solution designs
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide general cyber subject matter expertise to the engineering team
  • Support resolution of programmatic issues and conflicts
  • Support ongoing planning and estimating, status monitoring, measurement and reporting regimes for Cyber Security activities
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, direction and training as required to build overall ICT knowledge and capability
  • Address system-of-system architectural needs by analysing all layers of embedded security within given WAN/LAN architecture
  • Apply Cyber Security standards, directives, guidance and policies to an architectural framework
  • Staying informed of the latest cyber threats, technologies and legislation to ensure best practice is applied
  • Assist and support the development of security requirements during the functional analysis phase of the program
  • Identify, review and make recommendations proposed by security audits and reports.
  • Remediate identified security risks and promote a philosophy of preventative mitigation activities including awareness and trainin

To be successful in this role you will also have:

  • Advanced understanding of cyber security and cyber resilience
  • Significant experience in systems security engineering. E.g.
  • interpreting security requirements, analysing and recommending security measures and policies
  • Experience in and thorough understanding of the Australian
  • Government security Assessment and Authorisation (A&A) process
  • Extensive experience defining security services and design patterns, and aiding development teams in implementation
  • Significant experience in performing and leading cyber risk assessments
  • Experience working with cross domain solutions and multi-level security architecture
