Description

The Deputy M&E Site Superintendent is responsible for the on-site management and execution of all mechanical and electrical works on a construction project. This role requires a strong technical background in M&E systems, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to ensuring quality, safety, and project timelines are met.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline.
  • At least 15 years of proven and relevant M&E site-work experience with a local A1 main contractor on building related projects (e.g. Condominium, Commercial Office, Mixed Development, Hospitals, Integrated Resort).
  • Good working knowledge and experience in M&E Systems and Services.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding construction drawings.
  • Proven track-record and experience in deploying and managing workers from subcontractors.
  • Possess good problem-solving skills, stakeholders’ engagement and management skills, supervisory skills, project management skills.
  • Able to work in a fast pace and dynamic work environment with minimal supervision. Able to overcome different challenges in an effective and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
  • On-Site Supervision : Oversee and manage the daily operations of all M&E-related work on the project site, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and according to the project schedule and master programme.
  • Resource Management: Plan and manage the allocation of manpower, materials, and equipment to ensure they are available to meet operational needs and project deadlines.
  • Regulatory Inspections: Prepare the site and all M&E installations for official regulatory inspections by all relevant authorities (e.g. BCA, SPPG, PUB)
  • Subcontractor Management: Lead, coordinate, and supervise the work of M&E subcontractors and in-house workers. Ensure their performance meets project requirements and safety standards.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure the quality of workmanship complies with approved drawings, specifications, and industry standards. Identify and resolve any defects or non-conformance issues promptly.
  • Technical Coordination: Study and interpret M&E drawings and specifications. Coordinate with engineers, and other site teams to resolve any technical or site-related issues.
  • Safety and Compliance: Enforce all site safety protocols and regulations whenever M&E works are carried out on project site.
