About the Role
Join Rainbow Day Nurseries as our Early Years Deputy Manager & Baby Room Lead at our Langdon Road branch. You’ll play a key role in shaping a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment for children aged 0-5 years, leading a dedicated team in our 9-place baby room. Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operations of the baby room, ensuring a high standard of care and education for children aged 4 months to 5 years
- Support the Nursery Manager and senior team in delivering an inclusive, stimulating, and safe environment
- Plan and implement creative, purposeful learning opportunities that foster curiosity and development
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers, sharing updates on children’s progress and encouraging their involvement
- Promote staff wellbeing, teamwork, and a culture of respect and tolerance
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and all nursery policies
- Mentor and motivate team members, sharing knowledge and best practices
- Participate in ongoing training, meetings, and professional development
- Take responsibility for delegated tasks and support the smooth running of the nursery
Requirements
- Level 3 (or above) full and relevant qualification in Early Years Childcare
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and child development
- Experience working with children aged 0-5 years, ideally in a leadership role
- Confident in safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to inspire, lead, and motivate a team
- Positive, proactive, and enthusiastic approach
- Commitment to working in partnership with parents and carers
- Willingness to undertake first aid training if not already qualified
- Able to comply with all Rainbow Day Nurseries’ policies and procedures
- Appointment subject to satisfactory references and DBS clearance
