OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our team at Haresbrook park. We are a residential care home for up to 57 residents just outside Tenbury wells. In this pivotal role, you will support the overall management of our care home, ensuring that residents receive the highest standard of care. Your leadership will help foster a nurturing environment for both residents and staff, promoting a culture of excellence in senior care.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within assisted living or senior care environments is preferred.
  • Healthcare qualifications would be advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to manage individualised resident needs effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and staff alike.
  • A compassionate approach to caregiving, demonstrating genuine concern for residents’ well-being.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive team environment focused on high-quality care delivery.
  • To hold an NVQ Level 5 in leader in adult care or be willing to work towards.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the management and supervision of daily operations within the care home.
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans for residents, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect.
  • You will be expected to work two 12.25 hours shifts minus 1 hour unpaid break (11.25 hours paid) and two 8 hour shifts minus 30 minutes unpaid break (7.5 hours)
  • Supervise and support nursing staff, providing guidance and training as necessary.
  • Monitor the quality of care provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate care services effectively.
  • Participate in recruitment, training, and performance evaluations of staff members.
  • Maintain accurate records related to resident care and staff performance.
  • Ensure that health and safety regulations are adhered to within the facility.
