ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re excited to be recruiting a Deputy Manager to join our team at Cedar Health and Wellbeing in Preston. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and experienced individual looking to step into a leadership role and make a meaningful difference.
As Deputy Manager, you’ll support the Registered Manager in overseeing the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring high standards of care, compliance, and staff development. • Leading and supporting the staff team to deliver outstanding care.
  • Supervising and developing team members through supervisions and appraisals.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation including support plans, risk assessments, and audits.
  • Promoting a person-centred culture that prioritises independence, choice, and respect.
  • Liaising with families, professionals, and external partners to maintain strong relationships.
  • Supporting the safe recruitment, induction, and development of new staff.
  • Leading on service transitions and ensuring smooth onboarding for individuals.
  • Monitoring sickness and completing return-to-work processes.
  • Being a role model and demonstrating professional conduct at all times.
  • Participating in the on-call rota and contributing to out-of-hours leadership.
  • Ensuring compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding, and the Mental Capacity Act.
